Comprised of Trevor Prince on guitar and vocals, David Pastorius on bass, and Tom Van Dyke on drums, Elephantgun offers a sound laden with a Southern punk/funk feel. As diverse as they are many, their influences, from the Allman Brothers and Kings of Leon to Ginger Baker and Mother Hips, are just a few voices Elephantgun channel through their original instrumentation. You may hear some covers hidden within a melody that may contain some CCR, Taj Mahal, or Primus.
The men of Elephantgun are all locals stemming from other bands (Local 518; Rex Goliath; Big Orange Nitty Gritty) whose drive and original approach help create an atmosphere of rare adventure and surprise. So this holiday season, treat yourself to a band who’ll make you feel like it’s Christmas every day.
