Set for Sunday, December 20 in the heart of the Eau Gallie Arts District, the 1st Annual Winter Arts & Music Festival will bring together some of the area’s finest musicians, artists, and vendors for a free, all-ages community event. The Festival also promises to attract attention to the ways in which artists and musicians can work together with local businesses to breathe new life into similar communities.
With the help of the EGAD! consortium, Eau Gallie has been swiftly transformed from a sleepy downtown into a rich, vibrant arts district, one that boasts restaurants, small businesses, boutiques, galleries, antique shops, an impressive museum, and a host of activities and events. The Winter Festival, comprised of a large contingency of volunteers, sponsors, and vendors and the newest addition to the burgeoning Eau Gallie scene, features performances by some of the region’s most beloved musicians along with other activities geared toward the entire family.
The outdoor Stage in the Eau Gallie Square Park Amphitheatre, will see live sets by guitarist and vocalist Will Frazier of Whole Wheat Bread; saxophonist Nathan Anderson (of JunlieRush); Jvato; Jared Lyons; Jeremy Collings of Lady & the Tramps, and singer/guitarist Skart of The Supervillains. The free event will also see performances by vocalists Kaleigh Baker, Peter Baldwin, and Whitney Hogan. Children can expect face painting, henna artists, magicians, and jugglers, along with many arts and crafts-related activities. Local vendors will be providing delicious food and beverages as well.
