CITY As we reported last month, all Brevard County Public Libraries are having their budgets cut beginning October 1. The Cocoa Beach Library, for one, will experience a 63% reduction in the book budget, a loss of 126 staff hours per week, and a reduction in library open hours by 7 per week. To help with the book budget cut, the Friends of the Library have established a “Book Fund.” All donations to this fund will go toward purchasing books for the Library’s collection. To help...
