Join Conservancy Climate Resilience Advisor, Dr. Carrie Schuman, as she discusses a recent Conservancy of Southwest Florida project that explores nature-based solutions for building resilience to flooding. The Blueprint presents high-level concepts for characteristic areas of the City of Naples that are also transferable to other communities. These concepts incorporate a variety of protective hybrid and natural elements like riprap, mangroves, reef balls, and living seawall panels. Dr. Schuman will also discuss the broader context for why nature-based and hybrid solutions should be part of our local approach to adapting to challenging, changing conditions.
