Homeschool Hours | Art and Nature

Art in Bloom is right around the corner, and this month we’re planting the seeds of inspiration. We’ll explore how nature flourishes in art and how artists cultivate wild ideas using flowers, leaves, and landscapes. Together with other homeschool families, we’ll watch young imaginations burst into bloom!

Homeschool groups and families are invited to gather at the MFA every second Wednesday of the month for hands-on art making, interactive learning, and fun community connection right inside the MFA Studio Classroom. Families must remain in the museum, or in the MFA Studio Classroom, during the program. We invite you to explore the galleries or enjoy a treat at Cafe Clementine while students participate.

Instruction and hands-on activities are designed for students ages 5–14, led by museum educators. In addition, Gallery Activity Guides are available at Visitor Services.

Step Up for Students scholarships are now accepted for Homeschool Hours. Click here for more information.
